Smt. Kranti Trivedi was born in a family of freedom fighters in Raipur on the 28th of September 1930. Her husband late Shri Dharni Dhār ji was an IRS officer of 1951 batch and the first Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Uttar Pradesh. Her Father was the founder of Madhya Pradesh in 1956 and its first Chief Minister. She had three children, Dr. Prajapati Trivedi, Former Secretary to the Government of India, Dr. Vishwapati Trivedi, IAS, former Secretary to the Government of India, and Smt. Aradhana Shukla, IAS, former Additional Chief Secretary, Government of UP.
